Why Install An In Duct Air Purifier
Installing an in-duct air purifier offers numerous benefits for indoor air quality and overall health. These systems treat the air throughout the entire home or building, ensuring consistent purification across all rooms. They are efficient, capturing a wide range of pollutants including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, VOCs, and even some viruses and bacteria. Integrated into the HVAC system, they save space and operate quietly, with minimal maintenance required. Cleaner air promotes better respiratory health and reduces allergy symptoms, benefiting those with asthma or allergies. Additionally, in-duct purifiers can help reduce odors and may improve the energy efficiency of the HVAC system. Overall, installing an in-duct air purifier is a proactive step towards creating a healthier indoor environment.
How To Install An Electronic Air Cleaner
Installing an in-duct air purifier involves several key steps. First, choose an appropriate location within the HVAC ductwork for installation, typically near the air handler or furnace. Ensure the power to the HVAC system is turned off before proceeding. Cut an access hole in the ductwork according to the manufacturer's specifications. Securely mount the air purifier inside the ductwork using provided brackets or screws. Connect the wiring of the air purifier to the power source, following the manufacturer's instructions. Seal the access hole in the ductwork to prevent air leaks. Once installation is complete, turn the power back on to the HVAC system and test the air purifier to ensure proper functionality.
